About Us
Our business, sharing the beauty and wonder of Lake Tahoe with friends and family, has grown into a passion. Scott and I grew up spending every summer and winter in our beloved mountains. As children, we marveled at the beauty and the freedom nature allowed us to experience in our mountain paradise….beach fun, boating and fishing.
As adults, we are in awe of the cleansing and healing power of the mountains. Escaping for just a weekend rejuvenates us in ways that are indescribable. We spend every free moment in the Sierras, where our hearts, minds and souls thrive among the beauty and splendor of the mountains. We have discovered amazing waterfalls, river swim holes 20 feet deep, bear feasting on migrating salmon, pristine skiing terrain, white water rafting, spectacular beaches, boating and BarBQ’s in the sand. Together, we have explored the wilderness on many a back-country trek and realized that we’ve navigated the trails so many times that we have them practically memorized.
The experiences we have broaden our horizons so thoroughly that we feel renewed and invigorated, ready to face the challenges the world throws our way. And, the challenges never stop coming. Scott was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 15 years ago, but he has never let the disease get the best of him. Although he struggles physically, he continues to participate in all the mountain activities he’s loved his entire life. Thanks to the adaptive ski program at Alpine Meadows Resort, Scott can still ski at the expert level on amazing mono-skis, he can “walk” along the beach in his specially equipped all-wheel-drive scooter, and he can fish in accessible alpine lakes we’ve discovered above 6000 feet. We have two young children, and we can keep up with them at every turn. We are still doing it all, living our dream….and Scott is an inspiration to everyone.
It is our passion and joy to share our beloved Lake Tahoe with friends and family. I cannot tell you the excitement that creeps into my voice when I tell people about the amazing things they can experience just a few hours outside of the bustle of the San Francisco Bay Area. Not only do we love to share our beloved mountain home with our guests, but we would be honored to help you create a customized itinerary for your stay.
Whether you like to experience nature, the fabulous nightlife or the many special events held in the south shore basin every month, we invite you to come and have the experience of a lifetime. If you or someone you love has a disability, we can provide information to guide you on an unforgettable journey.
We so love our mountain home, and would consider it an honor to invite you to relax among the pines for an hour, a weekend or a long vacation.
Happy Exploring, Susanne, Scott, Brandon and Amanda
