Beaches

Here are a few of our favorites:

Camp Richardson Resort & Marina

Camp Richardson is the best beach for families with kids. You will find easy access to food (a beachfront store and the Beacon Restaurant are on site), a bathroom with a shower, as well as access to paddle boat, kayak and jet ski rentals. There is live music on the BarBQ deck on summer evenings, and a dock on the far side of the beach where kids can jump off if the lake level is high enough. Even better, the location is right down the beach from the Tallac Historical site, so you can explore summer homes from another era if you are finished doing everything else.  Located just 2.5 miles north of South Lake, off Highway 89.

Kiva Beach

A beautiful dog-friendly (on leash) beach with restrooms, picnic facilities, fire pits/BBQ grills, and no charge for parking.  Located off Highway 89 north of South Lake Tahoe.

Nevada Beach

Nevada Beach is a long, wide sandy beach with several picnic tables that are accessible via a paved sidewalk. Located 2 miles north of Stateline on Highway 50 in Nevada. There is a parking fee.

Pope Beach

Pope Beach is a long expanse of beautiful shoreline with plenty of wildlife (geese, ducks and other shore birds). Take a long stroll here and revel in nature. Restrooms, picnic facilities, fire pits/BBQ grills, day use fee.  Located off Highway 89 north of South Lake Tahoe, CA.

Regan Beach

A great place to spend all day with your family.  This beach offers the following activities: jet ski and kayak rentals, parasailing, yacht tours, tennis, heated swimming pool,1/4 mile sandy beach and much more. Located 2 miles North of Stateline, Nevada off Highway 50.
